A sight of the suburbs, in my small town

Spotted this a few streets down from our house...

Take a closer look...

The sight of the random pair of sneakers hanging from a power line strangely filled me with a sense of satisfying familiarity.

Good to know that kids here are basically the same as those I grew up with in East LA, so many years ago.

A sight to behold indeed.

Sadly enough, though maybe just the opposite, on one of the busiest streets in my part of Mid-town Atlanta, I could show you the same power line, perhaps even the same tennis shoes. But, I’m too lazy to take the photo. I guess that is the difference between us “fast paced guys” in the urban world, and you “mossy along guys” our rural heartland. A built in genetic memory, sort makes you proud to be an American, doesn’t it?
